Meet your orthopedic doctor in Seoul

Speak with Dr. Kim Hee-Jun in English about your symptoms, previous care and the decisions you need to make next.

71 Dokseodang-ro, 4F, Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul

The consultation

Know who will assess you

At Nucellin, Dr. Kim Hee-Jun conducts the consultation in English and evaluates your symptoms directly. This is useful when you need to explain a complicated treatment history, describe what an earlier procedure changed, or ask questions about an imaging report.

A helpful consultation connects the history with the examination and the decision being made. Bring the questions that matter to you: what might explain the problem, which options are reasonable, what further information is needed and how the plan will be reviewed.

Your treating doctor

Dr. Kim Hee-Jun

Consult directly in English with the orthopedic specialist who evaluates your condition and plans your care.

Dr. Kim graduated from Yonsei University College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Severance Hospital. He previously served as a clinical professor of joint replacement at Severance Hospital.

Your history, examination and available imaging are considered together before treatment is proposed.

Three things to discuss with your doctor

Your main difficulty

Describe an activity you cannot manage comfortably, such as stairs, lifting or returning to sport. This gives the consultation a practical focus.

Previous treatment

List medication, rehabilitation, injections or operations, including when they happened and what changed afterwards.

The next decision

Tell the doctor whether you are seeking an initial diagnosis, a review of an existing plan or advice before considering a procedure.

Imaging and examination

Bring the images as well as the report

If you already have an MRI or X-ray, bring the images and the written report where possible. Reports communicate the radiologist's findings; the doctor also considers your current symptoms and examination when deciding what to do next.

Do not arrange another scan simply to meet an assumed booking requirement. Contact the clinic about the records you already have. Further imaging is recommended when the doctor considers it relevant to the assessment, and MRI scans are arranged externally when needed.

Understanding your options

Leave with the reasons behind a recommendation

Ask what the proposed treatment is intended to address and how its suitability was assessed. For a procedure, discuss the preparation, alternatives, potential risks and follow-up before deciding. If the assessment points towards care outside the clinic's non-surgical scope, the next step should reflect that finding.

Practical questions belong in the same discussion. Ask about expected visits, rehabilitation requirements and costs, especially if work or travel limits your time in Seoul. Read the payment information before booking if you intend to make an insurance claim.

Practical questions

Before you book

Can I ask for a review of treatment recommended elsewhere?

You can request a consultation and bring the previous records. An opinion about the next step depends on the available information and the clinical assessment.

Is sending an MRI the same as having a consultation?

No. A preliminary record review can help with planning, but it does not replace consultation and examination or confirm a procedure.
